Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ever since winning awards for my baking in my younger years, I'm always drawn to a new cookie recipe. While I like my own recipe best {I'm a little snobby like that}, I can never resist trying out someone else's, so it was only a matter of time until I tried Robin's Chocolate Chip Cookies {page 428} on for size.
The ingredient list appealed to me, being slightly different from my own. However, as I mixed the dough, I realized something was slightly wrong. It wasn't coming together AT ALL. It was just a bunch of crumbs. I had to add about 1/2 cup of soymilk to get it to come together into a dough at all. It eventually did, and they baked up into delicious, moist, and delightful cookies. However, if you make them, be aware that you might need to add more liquid than is called for.
That being said, these were really good cookies. I can see myself making them again from time to time, when I need to get the regular recipe a break.

Those look great! Glad you got them to come together eventually.
ReplyDeleteApparently the amount of EB was a typo; it was meant to be 1 cup instead of 1/2 cup. (According to her own reply to an Amazon review.)
ReplyDeleteThose look fantastic, though!
Ah ha, that makes sense. Guess I should have checked for typos before making it, heh.
ReplyDeletenommy glad they came out :)
